Compensation
One reason for Ryan's success is that we share our success with our employees. We have created an innovative incentive program that allows us to distribute bonus income to employees based on their contributions to an engagement. Our standard salaries are highly competitive, but for those with an entrepreneurial nature and drive, Ryan offers unparalleled compensation opportunities.

Benefits
Benefits provide for the well-being of our employees and their families. Ryan recognizes that one size does not fit all, so we offer many benefit plan choices. Most benefits are available to employees on the first of the month following their date of hire. Ryan provides our employees with the following benefits:

Medical Coverage. The medical plans offered by Ryan include outstanding health benefits and choices for our employees and their dependents. We offer two Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans that allow employees the freedom to use both in-network and out-of-network providers for medically necessary and routine preventive care services. A substantial employer subsidy is provided for both employee and dependent coverage.

Dental Coverage. Ryan offers two comprehensive dental plans, both including orthodontia coverage, for all regular, full-time employees and their dependents.

Vision Coverage. Ryan offers comprehensive vision coverage to all regular, full-time employees and their dependents.

Healthcare Flexible Spending Accounts. Our healthcare flexible spending accounts enable employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualifying medical expenses for themselves and their qualified dependents.

Company-paid and Voluntary Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D). Ryan provides basic term life insurance and AD&D coverage at no cost for all regular, full-time employees. We also make available voluntary life insurance and AD&D with sizeable guaranteed issue amounts for those who want to supplement life insurance for themselves and their families.

Short- and Long-Term Disability. Ryan provides both short- and long-term disability insurance at no cost to the employee.

Employee Assistance Program. Ryan employees and their immediate families have access to this confidential referral service to discuss personal or professional issues they may be facing. This service is fully subsidized by the Firm.

401(k) Plan. Ryan provides a very competitive 401(k) plan with self-directed investment accounts and a generous employer match to all eligible employees.

Fitness Program. Ryan provides a partial subsidy for fitness memberships at the employee’s choice of fitness club.

Holidays. The Firm provides ten paid holidays per year to all regular, full-time employees and interns, including two days during Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Personal Time Off. As part of our innovative myRyan work environment, employees are free to take time off at their discretion, guilt-free, consistent with the needs of clients and the Firm, as long as their work gets done. The focus is on results and superior client service, rather than on where and when work gets done. myRyan is designed to allow professionals to achieve the highest level of success and productivity in all areas of life, including professional and personal endeavors. Because Ryan measures performance on results achieved, not hours worked, traditional Paid Time Off (PTO) and vacation programs are unnecessary for salaried (exempt) employees.

The Firm provides regular, full-time hourly (non-exempt) employees 22 personal days off per year (27 personal days after five years of service). This time, which accrues on a per-pay-period-basis, is available for vacation, illness, personal business, or any other time away from work.

For all employees, time off for bereavement, extended illness/incapacity, jury duty, military, and parental leaves are handled through the Firm’s Leave of Absence policies. More details about myRyan will be made available during the on-boarding process.

Leaves of Absence. Ryan offers generous paid and unpaid leaves of absence for a variety of reasons, including:

Adoption – up to 12 weeks

Bereavement – up to 5 days

Maternity – up to 12 weeks

Paternity – up to 2 weeks

Parking. Parking facilities for all Ryan offices are subsidized by the Firm for the convenience of employees.

CPA Bar Exam Program. Ryan offers a bonus for the CPA exam of up to $1,500. The Firm also reimburses the cost of a review course (up to $2,500) upon successful completion of the exam.

These benefits may change from time to time at the Firm's discretion. This list is intended to provide a general outline of our benefits program. Ryan reserves the right to amend these benefits.

Entrepreneurship
Are you a risk taker? Do you enjoy creating your own goals and exceeding them? Do you want to control your own professional destiny? If so, you should strongly consider Ryan. We look for professionals who want to join a growing company and contribute to its success. Ryan is not for you if you want a career without challenges. If you want to make a mark based on technical aptitude and business acumen, you should consider Ryan, as we provide these opportunities and more.

Promotion
Most people name advancement as one of the top criteria for any position they select. Ryan provides unlimited opportunity for advancement. Promotions are merit based, so individuals are given additional responsibility and authority once they have demonstrated that they can perform at the next level.

Training
Ryan has one of the most comprehensive training programs you'll find in the industry. Developed by our own professionals, our Professional Development Program will develop your knowledge and prepare you for the challenging and diverse issues you will encounter during your career.

For new consultants, we have an extensive training session that builds a foundation for state, local, federal, and international taxation concepts. Upon completion of the first week of training, new consultants begin working with their assigned teams. Team training, the next phase of the training program, focuses on on-the-job experience and problem solving. You can feel confident that team members want you to learn and develop because their success depends on yours.

In addition to training provided the first few months of your career, Ryan participates in professional education through various professional tax organizations. When our employees reach the Senior Consultant level, they are enrolled in these organizations with Ryan sponsoring their memberships. For example, as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, an individual can attend seminars, conferences, and courses to enhance skills. We also offer our own continuing education program to regularly update our professionals with current information, software, and technical training to deepen their professional skills.

All of these learning experiences combine to develop our professionals into the most knowledgeable, creative, and competent taxation experts anywhere.

Industry Exposure
Ryan professionals have the opportunity to observe our clients' entire operations. From Tyson Foods, Inc. to Chevron Corporation and Brinker International to Celanese, we seek to understand their internal controls, purchasing decisions, and growth plans. We interview plant engineers, controllers, and production managers to increase our knowledge of their business. This information helps us find every overpaid tax dollar. Our approach to industry learning enables us to focus our energy on each issue for every client.
