Sharp to Join Dallas-based Ryan & Company.
Dallas, Texas -- State Comptroller John Sharp will become a shareholder
and principal of Dallas-based Ryan & Company effective January 5,
1999. Ryan & Companys Austin office will be located on the
19th floor of the 100 Congress Building.
Ryan & Company is the largest state and local tax consulting firm
in Texas and one of the largest independent tax consulting firms in
the United States. Ryan & Company employs over 100 professionals
in offices in Dallas, El Paso, and now Austin. The Firm represents many
of the largest taxpayers in the United States in connection with state
and local tax matters.

Sharps duties will involve representing Ryan & Company to
the Texas and national business community. He will not be involved with
tax matters before the Comptrollers office.
