Senator Kip Averitt Joins Ryan & Company as Director.

Dallas, Texas -- Ryan & Company, America’s largest independent state & local tax consulting firm, today announced that Texas State Senator Kip Averitt has joined the Firm as Director in its Austin office. In this position, Mr. Averitt will be responsible for helping Ryan & Company continue its strong growth through strategic marketing and business development.

Averitt holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Baylor University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He served nine-and-a-half years in the Texas House of Representatives, including two terms as Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Institutions and was elected to the Texas Senate in April 2002. As a long-time member of the Senate, Averitt has held leadership positions on major legislative efforts, including school finance reform and the design of the state’s $140 billion budget. He served on the budget conference committee, the school finance tax reform conference committee, and was Vice Chairman of the Republican Caucus.
